Program

Through play, children feel empowered as learners and develop a sense of mastery over their world. This enhances their self-esteem. Since play is intrinsically motivated, concentration is sustained and children are actively engaged in developing essential understandings and dispositions for lifelong learning.

The role of the early childhood educator is to collaboratively plan and implement learning experiences that will support and scaffold the children’s learning and development.

We offer the highest quality play based curriculum designed to meet the individual needs and interests of the children. Our program is based on the National Early Years Learning Framework for Australia which emphasises the importance of communication and language as well as social and emotional development. Both our outdoor and indoor activities challenge, stimulate and inspire children. Our daily program includes comprehensive small groups on literacy and numeracy, gross motor incorporating brain gym, science, music, singing, movement, language, art, manipulative and dramatic play activities. Extra activities each term seek to introduce children to the wider local community through excursions to special places or events, guest performers or speakers such as the police, ambulance and fire fighters and specialist teachers in areas such as indigenous culture and yoga.
